Two of these craft are being used in Australia by the Queensland Police as Patrol boats in the Gladstone and Brisbane areas. These boats use Naiad’s popular 11.3m stepped hull, with a large enclosed crew cabin. The same Naiad stepped hull technology is also used in the 9m and 10m Coastguard boats and many of the 12.5m tourist boats.
Both boats are powered by triple 300hp outboard engines, and the cabins feature a dedicated SAR planning navigation station positioned aft of the two main crew positions. These stations are popular on the larger Naiads used by Coastguard in New Zealand.
